WTB.. a life! |
I don’t think I’ve really burned out on warcraft but I haven’t really played in months. I was on for children’s week of course. But otherwise I might have played 3-4 hours total for the month of May not counting my Bloodsail Buccaneers rep grinding. I’ve got a long ways to go to hit exalted with Bloodsail Buccaneers I’m at 2309/21000. I think its because I haven’t been included in guild events for the past year. For sure since we moved servers. I really like this server Turylon but I have to say I wasted my money moving to stay with Unity. The guild roster has changed so much that the family type guild attitude has just died. It’s now more about DPS and kills. What ever happened to just raiding for fun?
I know with my internet being limited that that’s alot of the reason I wasn’t being included. But forgive me if I think thats a bullshit excuse for not being included in raids ranking below ICC!! My gear score is over 5k I know how to play my class but yes my dps is limited to what my latency allows! Does that mean that a guild of this stature can’t afford to allow me a raiding seat in raids such as the weekly raid quest? I think not!! It just goes to show how this guild has changed. When I joined Unity I was using the same internet I have now yet I was included in all raiding events. When WotLK came out and raids started up I started getting benched more and more often. I’ve yet to ever even see Yog. I’ve cleared ToCG but only on regular. While I understand sitting the bench for ICC content “I think it’s funny” (heavy sarcasm) that when the guild was short-handed I was more than welcome to join in the raid! Needless to say I wasn’t even missed, as far as I know no one even noticed my absence, I quit a few weeks ago. So long guild of the last 2+ years!

Happy Earth Day |
Earth Day is always observed on April 22. International Earth Day is celebrated on the March equinox. Why do we celebrate Earth Day? To call attention to the environment! If you live on Earth, you should know what to do to save the Earth.
Some facts to know about the climate change:
- Human activities are now adding about 7 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere every year and this contributes to global warming.
- As the world grows warmer, diseases such as malaria are predicted to spread, due to the carriers of disease spreading out over a larger geographical area.
- As many as 15 to 37% of all wildlife species in some regions could be “committed to extinction” by 2050 years because of global climate change. Our butterflies will go extinct too.
Things you can do to help:
- Take notice of the planet Earth
- Take care of the Environment, Recycle & Reuse
- Use Natural Cleansers
As parents it’s our job to teach our children that the Earth is worth protecting if for nothing else their future! Take a walk with the kids. Point out all the natural things you see. Even in central Texas you can find it. All you must do is look. Trust me, if you are in the automobile traveling 55 mph, you will miss it. Look for birds, worms, tree leaves or even a blade of grass. With our busy, high-tech lives sometimes it is easy to overlook what a complete wonder all that nature has to offer.
It’s spring. The leaves are beginning to bud & the Earth is waking up from it is long winter nap, at least it is in my neighborhood of the planet. This time of year always make me grateful for the pretty place that they live in. Although I live in four of the prettiest parts of the world (in my view) everywhere has beauty. The trick is to stop & look for it. Perhaps your kids cannot appreciate the beauty & perhaps you don’t have time to smell the roses but it is part of a parent’s job to point it out. & the perfect day for it is Earth Day.
Earth Day is a terrific holiday. Why? It is simple. It doesn’t cost a thing. There is no stress to buy a present or fix a perfect meal; all you must do is to stop & smell the roses. A perfect no-stress day that the entire relatives can enjoy together. Better yet – you don’t even must wait for the official day! On the next nice day, head out & do your Earth Day activities.
Head to the park & find a nice patch of grass. Lay down & look at the clouds. Are not they amazing? Everything works in perfect harmony. The clouds form which bring rain. The rain is needed for things to grow. They need to eat the things that grow. The kids need to learn that even a cloud is a brilliant thing & they depend on it for our survival.
History of Earth Day:
- Former U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson was Earth Day’s co-founder.
- The first Earth Day was in April 22, 1970.
- Senator Nelson got the name after reading about San Fransisco’s Earth Day celebration which was held on March 21, 1970.
