Darting Hatchling
Dropped by [Dart's Nest]
Which can be found in Dustwallow Marsh at (46.17 49.17)(47.9 19.0)(48.0 14.19)(49.1 17.5). Respawns: unknown. Drop Rate: [1 of 1]
Deviate Hatchling
Kill all deviate guardians and deviate ravagers in the first part of the instance Wailing Caverns [Level 17-19+], the road makes a circle giving about 24 mobs per circle per attempt and allows for 5 resets per hour. The drop rate is said to be 1 out of 1,000.
Fossilized Hatchling
Created by Archaeology. This companion is a rare tier Fossil archaeology item. It is created by discovering and “solving” 85 fossil fragments. Once completed, an entry on the Fossilized Hatchling can be found in players’ archaeology tab:
“When you finished assembling this tiny skeleton through some eldritch magic, the little critter sprang back to life. He’s a pretty good pet. Since he’s a skeleton, he doesn’t eat much.”
Gundrak Raptor
Like many other people I do not have the Gundrak Raptor, and like many of those same people it’s probably because I (we) did not know you could farm this raptor Outside of Gundrak [Level 76-77].
The drop rate is said to be 1 out of 1,000. These mobs are probably the best in the game for straight-up Borean Leather farming. Very easy to farm, only complaint is a little spread out but a flying mount can fix that =]
My Results So Far: No Raptor pet yet but I did get 2 Rares, Terror Spinner & Zul’Drak Sentinal both rewarding a blue item, 22 gold, and a stack of frostweave which goes for nearly 100g on my server AH. Using my skinner to farm I’m also skinning my kills for borean leather which sells quite well once converted to heavy borean leather. Raptor Kills: 23 (adding up sharpened raptor talons which seem to drop nearly if not all kills).
Lashtail Hatchling
Quest reward: [85] This raptor companion is available upon defeating Bloodlord Mandokir in the new five-man heroic Zul’gurub dungeon. Players who have completed the level 20+ Lashtail Hatchling quest chain will find a captured Lashtail Hatchling in the instance, which they can save, and conclude this raptor’s storyline.
To begin the lower level quest chain, horde players will need to pick up the quest The Defense of Grom’gol: Raptor Risk and alliance players will need to pick up the quest Bad Medicine.
Leaping Hatchling
Dropped by [Takk's Nest]
Which can be found in The Northern Barrens (60.9 19.8)(62.8 20.2)(64.2 23.0)(64.9 28.8). Respawns: unknown. Drop Rate: [1 of 1]
Obsidian Hatchling
Sold for 50 gold by Breanni – Dalaran.
It is also the first pet sold by <Pet Supply> vendor Breanni, the NPC inspired by the creator of the WarcraftPets.com website. Increasing your reputation with the Kirin Tor faction will give you discount on this and other pets sold by Breanni.
Ravasaur Hatchling
Dropped by [Ravasaur Matriarch's Nest]
Which can be found in Un’goro Crater (68.9 66.9)(68.9 61.9)(62.2 65.3)(62.0 73.6). Respawns: unknown. Drop Rate: [1 of 1]
Razormaw Hatchling
Dropped by [Razormaw Matriarch's Nest]
Which can be found in The Wetlands (69.29). Respawns: 1-2 hours. Drop Rate: [1 of 1]
Razzashi Hatchling
The Razzashi Raptor is now a zone drop from Northern Stranglethorn and The Cape of Stranglethorn. Venture Co. Miner have the highest droprate according to WowHead.com but I would suggest killing Bloodscalp Trolls simply because there’s plenty of them or maybe even Bloodsail Pirates from which may also get lucky enough to get the elusive The Hyacinth Macaw and/or First Mate’s Hat. It’s also worth your while to kill Gan’zulah the Bloodscalp chief (25.18) who has been reported to drop the raptor pet or even the Hyacinth Macaw as a reward now and then.
High Priestess Hai’watna is a rare in the area with a higher drop rate for the raptor. She can usually be found at the beginning of the path leading up to Zul’Gurub (67.31)(67.34). Be prepared for a long wait as this raptor does seem to be quite elusive. The Raptor drop rate is said to be 1 out of 1,000. Northern Stranglethorn [Level 25-30] or The Cape of Stranglethorn [ Level 30-35].

Thankfully I have these. Did I mention I hate WC? All I remember is getting lost in there as a lowbie horde repeatedly. It’s not bad since they fixed the maps, but before that… sheeesh lol
